You all chose something "funny" for today's matinee and I've got the perfect movie for major laughs. If you have not heard about Karen, the race-baiting "horror" film that turned out to be unintentionally hilarious. I promise you haven't laughed this hard in years. I watched it with Mikey Harlow while I was in Arizona and could not believe the number of laugh-out-loud moments. This is what happens when Hollywood tries to make a social commentary...they fail hilariously.
Here are a few excerpts of reviews:
Vanity Fair:
"Anyone subjected to this Jordan Peele-inflected misfire will want to get out of the theater as quickly as possible."
"From filing complaints with restaurant managers to presiding over her HOA with an iron first, there’s truly no aspect of the stereotype she doesn’t embody."
The Chicago Sun Times:
"The poorly executed tale of a hateful racist isn’t even worth watching as a curiosity."
"This movie is so broad and so poorly executed it comes across as an extended “SNL” parody of a Jordan Peele film"
I won't ruin it by sharing more but you get the drift. Let's laugh at this stupidity together. If you are not a subscriber do it now so you can join us!
